ZINK THE ZEBRA Zink the Zebra is a patch program designed to give girls a sense of awareness of and appreciation for individual differences and to foster compassion and respect for others. Zink, the story of a spotted zebra, is the basis for understanding how it feels to be different. ![]() There are level-appropriate programs geared toward Daisy, Brownie, Junior and Cadette/Senior Girl Scouts. The program can be completed over the course of one or two meetings. A $25 deposit fee is required for participating troops/groups to check out Zink materials. A sensitive issues permission slip is included in the Zink the Zebra program materials for copying. The sensitive issue involved deals with cancer. Each girl must have a signed sensitive issues permission slip in order to participate. This program is run through the Zink the Zebra Foundation. There is a $5.50 per girl fee for participation and includes a patch and a stuffed bean zebra.
