DISNEY’S FAMILY FUN
“GIRL SCOUT STORY” CONTEST
Calling all Girl Scout troop/group leaders: As part of an
upcoming story celebrating Girl
Scouts, Disney’s FamilyFun magazine would like to feature
Girl Scout Daisy, Brownie, and Junior troop or group
projects and activities. The best stories will reflect fun,
learning
and inspiration. In addition, best entries will be memorable
group projects or activities, highlight the Girl Scout
Leadership Experience and can include stories about girls
enjoying the Girl Scout Journeys.
Volunteers whose stories are published will receive $250 for
their Girl Scout troop or group, a free set of FamilyFun
recipe and craft books and a free print or digital
subscription.
To enter, send a description of your
Girl Scout troop or group’s project to
letters.familyfun@disney.com.
Be sure to include “Girl Scouts” in the subject line.
Submissions are needed by Friday,
September 25, 2009.
Keep in Mind . . .
Waiting List: As the year has
ended and girls are leaving troops to explore other
ventures, please keep in mind that there are still girls on
the waiting list seeking to experience the joy of Girl
Scouting. If your troop has declined in size or has a total
less than twelve, please contact your membership director to
fill that empty space and put a smile on a girl's face!

Becoming a Juliette: This is a
great alternative for the busy, active girl to stay
connected with Girl Scouts. If your troop is disbanding or a
girl is considering leaving Girl Scouts, make sure you
inform her of the opportunities available as a Juliette.
Check out the Juliettes
page on this Web site of contact your membership director
for more information.
