Girl Scouts of the USA rolls
out the new Girl Scout Leadership Development Experience.
In October 2008, Girl Scouts of
the USA will be launching some exciting program changes.
New age-level definitions
will be as follows, beginning
October 1, 2008:
Girl
Scout Daisy, Grades K-1
Girl
Scout Brownie, Grades 2-3
Girl
Scout Junior, Grades 4-5
Girl
Scout Cadette, Grades 6-8
Girl
Scout Senior, Grades 9-10

The Girl Scout uniform
will be modified to reflect the choices
of today's girls:
Each level
will continue to have one official uniform item
for the
display of official pins and awards (vest/sash).
Girls will
use their own solid white shirts and khaki pants
or skirts
with their official uniform item.
Girl Scouts
at the Daisy and Brownie levels will continue
to have a
full uniform ensemble available.
Girl Scouts
in high school will also have an optional scarf,
uniting them
in the international WAGGGS tradition.
