Girl Scouts - Sybaquay Council Jurisdiction
Girl Scouts - Sybaquay Council serves over 10,000 girls and
2,500 adults in more
than 50 communities throughout a 7-county jurisdiction
including, McHenry County and parts of Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Kane, Lake, and LaSalle
counties.
How We Work
Girl Scouts - Sybaquay Council is a network of girls and adults who are members
of Girl Scouts of the USA. A volunteer
Board of
Directors governs Sybaquay Council.
Council delegates are selected from each service unit and provide input to the Board
of Directors. The Board of Directors delegates the management of operations to the
chief operating officer. Council volunteer committees, service unit volunteers and
staff, work as partners to provide the Girl Scout program to girls within Sybaquay
Council's jurisdiction. Our service area is
divided into service units, which are geographic areas, usually one town or a part
of a larger town.
Service unit volunteers work together to provide the Girl Scout program to the girls
within each service unit. Sybaquay Council staff membership directors support the
work of the service unit volunteers.
